For National Cartoonists Day I had the honor of highlighting the incredible Jackie Ormes for The Nib.
Jackie paved the way for me and so many others as the first black woman with a syndicated comic strip. She’s a huge inspiration of mine, more than once I’ve been afraid to create something and thinking of Jackie makes me brave enough to do it.
